How?

After a gap, I am back to my favorite theme - Marriage. This time, a question to those of you who are married:

How do you decide when and with whom to get married to? Seriously. Try & share your thoughts. Please.

Let me put it this way

Whom to marry- If you think you can tolerate listening to a person the rest of your life without getting reasonably bored, then you should probably get married to that person!

When to marry- That is determined by the fact when you think you are ready to listen to a person the entire life!

Hi Restless,

Boy you are in for a ride. You know there is this very old hindi saying that has been done to death - 'Shaadi woh ladoo hai jo khaaye to bhi pachtaaye aur na khaaye to bhi pachtaaye'. The second part then says 'To khaake pachtaana behter hai'. Now if you analyse this statements, nobody has a problem with the 1st part but the contention is the 2nd part for sure. Let me tell you that there is no perfect marriage. That is like the fabled 'Utopia'. A marriage is what the 2 people involved in it make it to be. It demands sacrifices, there will be fights too but like John Lennon said 'All you need is love'. And basically, the 2 people involved have to be good human beings. Believe you me, just that one trait can solve a lot of problems. And finally it was Socrates that said 'By all means, marry. If you get a good wife, you'll become happy; if you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

P.S. My friends do not divulge secrets. You know what I mean.

i think one should get marry to a person, WHO LOVES HIM/ HER rather than WHOM HE/SHE LOVES ( i personally think its bcoz u can survive , yes survive without loving someone and mot without being loved by someone )

p.s. i think u had enough about love, true love, pure love, selfish love(if there is one )and so on... i m not going into all that. For me there is love or no love, no midways...)

My parents always say "Marriage is adjustments + compromises ".You cant proceed with a strict pre-decided list of criteria in front of you.
So answer of our all questions will be in front of us once we accept the fact that I have to adjust or compromise few things.
